Jane Bella black and gray clothes. I embraced colors. I painted my guesthouse, the Lemon Tree bright colors in side. No beiges, taupes or whites. I still have to run the place…be orderly, practical, responsible and on top of things. But there is another side to life here. The embracing of life…the embracing of joy…the embracing of happiness about the little things of life and if its not immediately fixable or changeable, so be it. It is this joy and happiness and zest for life that I want to impart to these paper mache beings. They don’t have a “have to” list to be followed. They are themselves with all the joy and exuberance that comes out of the folds of the paper and the shades of the paint. As they twist and turn with the gentle breeze, I am reminded of the gently swaying of the palms and the exotically colored flora, and of the cresting of the waves. |
