At Sandy Beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico

The Mango Beach Shop is a place to relax under the almond trees in the sea breeze, and soak up the garden setting, After poking around the simple, open air structures that serve as displays, you may find yourself attached to some useful thing like a towel or some flip flops.

There are those kinds of beach things: sarongs, Caribbean clothing; much of it from Puerto Rico, lots of tee shirts-including our hand painted ones- and other beach attire. There are also the kinds of things that we find on the beach.

Being beach- obsessed artisans, we labor over the high tide’s gifts , bringing them to the shop and transforming them into all sorts of more whimsical things.

Shell and sea glass jewelry is in so many presentations, in countless colors , including sea glass painted in miniature tropical scenes.

Bamboo driftwood becomes the canvass for the paintings of several of the Rincon artists whose work is on display.

There are also “beach monsters”, sea-fairy furniture, wind chimes, or whatever else is inspired from the materials of the beach. Lots of little treasures are found here that we make, fellow artisans from Puerto Rico make, or they are things we would make if we could. Come for a different sort of shopping experience, under the trees, at the beach like it was supposed to be.
